Waste Heat Plant Operator
OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will report to the Fish Meal Foreman and will be part of the fish meal plant
team.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
WORK ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed.
- Will work around moving machinery.
- Temperature varies from different degrees.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
- Required to walk, stand, and bend throughout the day.
- Required to work on heights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and Maintain Waste Heat Plant (Stik water)
- Operator machine on via touch screen
- Responsible to keep stick water in an efficient and functioning condition
- Maximum production and minimum idle time
- Adherence to ISO 22000 & HACCP process requirements
- Comply with all safety and standard operating procedure requirements
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Housekeeping (clean work environment)
- Report all faults to supervisor
- Assist with any other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 11 with operating skills.
- Good Communication skills – fluent in Afrikaans & English (speak; write & read).
- Adhere Health and Safety and Feed safety standards.
- Prior machine operating experience.
- Require to work shifts/weekends/overtime and public holidays when necessary
- Previous experiences in fish meal environment will be advantage
